JBX Out - Qdoba In

JBX Grills – an eleven chain experiment by Jack in The Box, is being nixed.  JBX Grills featured a trendy café type atmosphere with a menu ranging from Jack In The Box burgers to deli style sandwiches.  Jack In The Box claims that the recent surge in gas prices, as well as poor sales of the “Ultimate Club sandwich” has led to JBX Grills demise.  

In other Jack In The Box news, they will be aggressively fighting for a piece of the “Mexican Explosion”.  The company will be aggressively growing their 230 unit Qdoba Mexican Grill, in to the market of other Mexican quick/casual brands such as Chipotle, Moes, Baja Burrito Kitchen and of course, Taco Bell.
